Clinic Safety Guide and Patient Requirements
For Patients:
- Patients are required to wear a clean/new N95/K95 mask as we continue to see high counts and waves year round. Cloth masks may only be worn on top of another mask, but not solo as they are not as effective alone against current circulating Covid variants. Masks must cover the nose, mouth, and chin. No bandanas or neck gaiters as they are not effective. Masks must also be worn properly during the entire treatment. Consider double masking if you are in a high risk group and/or have not yet been vaccinated. We cannot offer full facial cosmetic acupuncture treatments at this time.
- If you have recently been exposed to Covid, or have any cold/flu/Covid/GI symptoms, please reschedule and do not come in while actively sick/contagious. Cancellation fees are waived for illness or for precaution if exposed to Covid.
- Windows in the treatment room will be cracked open to allow for some extra fresh air circulation. We also have hepa/UV air filters running 24/7 inside the treatment room and nearby areas to help circulate and clean the air rapidly.
- Since it may get a little chilly, we will have a space heater available and encourage you to wear warm, baggy clothing that can easily roll up to your elbows/knees to your treatment. If you tend to get cold, please bring a towel or small blanket with you to use during treatment. Please bring shorts to change into if you cannot wear pants that will roll up over your knees during the treatment.
Home Office Accessibility and Allergy Info
- There is a cat living in the home who will not have regular access to the treatment space, but if you have severe cat allergies, please keep this in mind. The HEPA filters in the space help to reduce any allergens and extra cleaning can be done if you inform us ahead of time.
- There are three steps at 36” total height to enter the treatment room from outside at the front door. There are two steps at 15” total height at the side door to enter from outside.
- We are in the process of adding a custom deck and ramp to the side door entrance for increased accessibility which we are hoping to achieve in the next few months. If you are a wheelchair user or have mobility issues that would prevent you from entering the space, please call or email before scheduling and we can find an alternative space for treatment until this is complete.
- The powder room has an outward opening door to give as much space as possible and is equipped with grab bars by the toilet.
